Addicted to acting, Appalachian alumnus shares his love of theatre with aspiring actors

Roles in "King Lear," "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and "The Importance of Being Earnest" are impressive acting credits for someone who has said it took a long time to believe he belonged on stage.

But David Furr has had these and other successful roles in Broadway and Off Broadway productions.

The 1994 Appalachian State University graduate returned to campus recently to talk with students from the Department of Theatre and Dance about his experiences – from Boone to regional theatre production and then Broadway – and the realities of the acting profession.
