Dr. Kin-Yan Szeto, associate professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance, received Appalachian State University's 100 Scholars Award for her research on Chinese cinema as well as her work as director, dramaturge, sound designer and performer.
The 100 Scholars Award is presented to senior faculty members who show evidence of sustained research or creative production, potential contribution of their proposed projects to their disciplines or the public understanding of their disciplines, clear project descriptions, and clear plans for dissemination.
